How It Bites

The Story: You crash landed your plane in the woods during winter and now you have to survive in the elements! Pick up sticks and put them in the fire to add fuel to it. If the fire runs out of fuel, it’s gone. The flames restore warmth faster when they are bigger, but also consume fuel faster. You have to be near the fire to receive it’s warmth, but you have to leave it to retrieve sticks. Survive until rescue makes its way to your location (thank goodness you had that radio). What happens when the cold (the bar on the left) gets to the top you ask? It Bites…

Controls: wasd to move e to interact q to drop

About Me: This is my first jam, and my first game. I’m super excited to participate, even if the project isn’t something to marvel at. I don’t know what I would have done if YouTube didn’t exist, but now I don’t need it (as much… maybe).

Known bugs:

-When you hold a stick and interact with the fire, it doesn’t always work, so you have to walk around it a bit, continuously pressing ‘e’.

- After talking to the radio, it can stop your movement
