The Story: As a store manager, a new shipment is coming in, and it's your job to sell as much as possible before the day ends. You don't actually make any money, because.... uh... you live in a dystopia for robots and your just a slave (I ran out of time). The day doesn't actually end, because... uh... the theory of relativity and stuff, idk (I ran out of time). Why do the items just teleport to the register? Well, because... uh... ghosts. Yep (I ran out of time).

How it fits the theme: The less you sell something for, the more items you can sell. The pink things are discounts, and they make the items go to the register sooner.

Controls:

Walking - WASD - Left stick

Interacting - Space or "e" - x or a

More in-depth how to play:

Move to the left side of the screen where the box is, and pick up an item (using interact). You can place this item (again, using interact) on the counters (the vertical brown rectangles) and wait for it to get sold. If you want to sell an item faster, pick up a discount sticker on the right side of the screen. Then, if you press interact while next to an item on the counter, the discount will be added. Once an item has magically teleported to the middle counter with the register (the grey rectangle) interact with the register (you have to be on the north side of the register for it to work, can't have your ghost customers stealing your hard earned $0)

This is my second game jam and second game. I really thought I would have enough time to add in music, sound, more art, menus, and *cough* an actual end to the game. I'm still happy to have created something for the first time in a while, but yeah.

Hey, I wouldn't call it an excuse, I put effort into that! >D
